SOME TERMS
  • Nosocomial Infections - also known as a hospital-acquired infection or HAI, is an infection whose development is favoured by a hospital environment, such as one acquired by a patient during a hospital visit or one developing among hospital staff. Such infections include fungal and bacterial infections and are aggravated by the reduced resistance of individual patients.(wikipedia)
  • Endemic - in a broad sense, can mean "belonging" or "native to", "characteristic of", or "prevalent in" a particular geography, group, field, area, orenvironment; native to an area or scope. Etymology is from Ancient Greek ἐν (en, “in”) + δῆμος (dēmos, “people”), possibly via ἔνδημος (endēmos) and/or French endémique.
  • Pharyngitis -is an inflammation of the throat or pharynx. In most cases it is painful. It is the most common cause of a sore throat.Like many types of inflammation, pharyngitis can be acute – characterized by a rapid onset and typically a relatively short course – or chronic. Pharyngitis can result in very large tonsils which cause trouble swallowing and breathing. Pharyngitis can be accompanied by a cough or fever, for example, if caused by a systemic infection.  HELLO GUYS!!!~ Today the outbreak on our hospital are not yet ended.. Seriously It affected almost 7 health workers employee which yours truly included!! About minute ago.. I've constructed Intravenous Fluids for my friend Einjehl (aka Dra. TIN RN) for prophylaxis treatment.. She also have the same symptoms like mine.. Flu, Slight Fever and dont forget the sore throat and Cough!!!~ (ahemmm ahemmm)

We did some video about constructing IVT but I will not post it here.. coz it's kinda laaaammmmeee and really made some big mistakes.. ahahah.. never mind.. Back to the topic..

Our Physical Therapist,  2 Receptionists, 4 female Nurses including me.. are all affected on this case..
Honestly Health Care Workers are number one mostly affected for having an infections. It was called NOSOCOMIAL INFECTIONS but can be eliminated or controlled by effective Hand Washing.

Our Gastroenterologist told us that this symptoms is what you called PHARYNGITIS (sore throat)... He advise me to drink warm water instead of cold.. but I really dunno why he added sugar on it..He told me to mix my warm water with sugar?? Sugar can irritates more on my throat.. It must be salt rather than sugar.. anyways..

I ask our bangali  friend to bought Yansung Tea. I heard it was good in relieving sore throat and cleansing your stomach.. The flavor is not bad and gives you mentol/cooling effect!! LOVE iT..

2 x a day and in just one week.. Your sore throat fades.. (Hopefully!!)

Facebook post of my friend!!~ DAMN TRUE!!~
Hope that this endemic case in our hospital will be resolved so that we can work nice and good.. Sad thing is our MODIRS does not even care about their own workers..TT,TT..
